Here are some questions some of our members have asked us recently.

Q:  Why isn’t Gwen Egbert listed as a coach? What is her role?
A:  Gwen has decided to take a little time off from coaching a club team. She will still be in charge of our Friday training as well as mentoring coaches, helping with college recruiting, and practicing/traveling as needed with the teams.

Q: Who is in charge? Who do I contact if I have questions?
A:  To operate more efficiently and to spread the workload more evenly, Nebraska Juniors has created a Board of Directors and elected Mike Brandon as the new Director of Operations. Other positions on the board are:

Q:  Why is Nebraska Juniors going to register for USA VB/Great Plains tournaments?
A:  There is a lot of great competition in our area and we feel we should be a part of that. This will also help cut down on travel costs for players and their families. We will be dual registered with JVA and USA and will continue to compete in the JVA Nationals.

Q: Is Nebraska Juniors’ tryout, Invite only?
A:  No, anyone can come and tryout.

Q: Why is the old website not working?
A:  We have a NEW website full of lots of information at Check it out!

Q:  When Does the Season Start?
A:  The official club season will start the 2nd week of January 2017.  Our 13s & 14s teams finish with the JVA Midwest Challenge in Des Moines in May.  The 15s through 18s teams end with AAU Nationals in June.  Your club fees cover all dates from January through the end of your season.  See full schedules attached

Q: What night are practices
A:  Sunday morning/afternoon – all teams – times TBA
Monday evenings – 13s & 14s  – times TBA
Wednesday evenings – 15s, 16s, 17s, 18s – times TBA
Friday training open to all age groups  6-9pm

Q: Do you allow players to play in high school sports?
A: Yes, Nebraska Juniors encourages multi-sport athletes within their schools
